Family Counseling Service is a 110-year old private non-profit mental health organization that is entirely dependent on donations and grants. Cash, appreciated stock, and in-kind donations are all needed and appreciated.
In-kind donations of office supplies, coffee supplies, paper goods such as Kleenex, paper towels, and napkins are examples of in-kind gifts that are needed.
Volunteers are needed to assist with special event planning, office work, and other committees associated with the Board of Directors.
The greatest need is for cash donations. The majority of our clients are uninsured, unemployed, or underinsured and even a $30 fee is an obstacle. The small amount of fees Family Counseling Service receives for services is not enough to cover general operating expenses. United Way of the Bluegrass, Lexington Clinic Foundation, Cralle Foundation, Francis Hollis Brain Foundation and Partners for Youth from Lexington Fayetter Urban County Government provide financial assistance, yet there is still a need for additional funding.
Please consider making a gift to Family Counseling Service. Your donation of $30 will pay for a one hour therapeutic counseling session.
As you consider your charitable contributions, please keep Family Counseling Service in mind. Your neighbors need your help.
